Oh Joy! Oh Rapture!
Ron Paul has authorized an exploratory committee to look at his chances for a presidential run in 2008. Nothing could cheer me more.
It is almost an impossibility for a third party to field a viable candidate, especially if they are a strict constitutionalist. Ron Paul overcomes most of the problems as he is far from being an unknown. Dr. Pauls dedication to the rule of constitutional law and voting his oath is rare indeed. Most congressional types take the oath to uphold the Constitution and then a few days later they resume tearing down the rule of law it represents.
There is no shortage of articles and speeches that show where Dr. Paul stands on just about any issue. It quickly becomes obvious that he doesn't care for the current state of affairs in Washington. Putting Ron Paul in the Whitehouse will be a giant step on the road to restoring the great Constitutional Republic we were gifted with over 200 years ago. It would also serve as a warning to the denizens of the congress that we are serious about curtailing their irresponsiblities and excesses. Dr Paul connot do it by himself. We must elect like minded people to the Congress to help him in the rebirth of the greatest nation on earth - a free America under rule of law.
